How It Works

Report management system (RMS) is a Web and Mobile based system for Bangladesh Government – Currently being running in Cabinet Division, various Ministries and Offices across all over the Bangladesh. The organogram of offices has been integrated to this system from another Government service name ‘Doptor’ to manage the data flow hierarchy. The Government official information also been integrated through ‘Doptor’ to provide user a common platform for system sign in. RMS has in build user roles and roles also coming from Doptor system. This system has a Dynamic report engine by which authorize user’s able to create a report template according to their need. RMS has facility to manage singe and group report templates; here group reports are combination of multiple single reports.

RMS Working Flow

In RMS, according to the organogram, Officer from an office prepares reports (circulated office) and allowed to circulate to other offices (Recipient office) in terms of data collection. The Recipient office’s officer who has role office admin have the a dynamic data collection to approval mechanism where Office admin set role ‘Maker’ to a officer – person for data entry, role – ‘Checker’ to an officer – person for data validation, role – ‘Final Checker’ to an officer – person for final data validation, role – ‘Approver’ to an officer – person for data approval. Once data has been approved, circulated office receives those data. Individual report data view is available, and also generation of summary report, consolidated reports, average summary reports are available. This RMS is maintaining various statuses for reports to give user a correct understanding about the reports accurate standings. Meaningful icons have been added with tooltip to understand what to perform with which icons. RMS has introduced separate report bank for storing circulated reports which is accessible from any office. Officers from recipient office able to request for extending time for any reports in case of submission date expires. RMS has a multilayered and data driven dashboard to view & monitor the current scenarios of reports.
